In 1938 Katalin joined the “Hanoar Hatzioni” movement. Her family gave assistance to the first refugees from Poland. After the Germans invaded Hungary on 19.3.1944, Katalin was taken to Tattersaal (Todt Lager). In Dinnyés Borgonpuszta, rescued by members of her movement and arrived at the “Glass House” on Vadász Street. Under the name of Horváth Katalin, Katalin distributed forged documents around the city. After the liberation she intended to make aliya and arrived in Romania but, due to an illness, she was forced to return to Budapest. In 1949 Katalin left Hungary. She lived in Sydney, Australia where she died.
